The Birth of kittiPOOKI
2025-09-30After about a year of thinking about it, I finally dove into my first neocities website tonight. First session included setting up the basic layout and design of the homepage. I still need to figure out the aesthetic I'm going for and then I'll stop sleeping until the website's done, probably. In the meantime, default baby pink it is.
- Basic HTML+CSS setup
- Added a Chattable chatbox
- Added a visitors counter
- Uploaded my website to Neocities !!!
Fixing my hasty mistakes
2025-10-01My first question is... why does my comic sans show up as a random handwritten font on mobile? Is there some kind of comic sans android war I wasn't aware of? I'm still struggling with the whole no PHP thing, but it's taking me back to my CSS roots... and yes I purposely left java script out of the discussion because I am not mentally ready. I think I'll need wine to java script.
- *Kind of* fixed the visitors counter
- Tested the horizontal scrollbar for my update notes, failed, need to revisit updates layout
